Jesus Christ…
Our Lord & Saviour

Our Beliefs

We believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, dead and buried. We believe that He rose up on the third day and that He ascended into heaven and is sited at the right hand of God, making intercession for the saints…

We believe that the Bible is the “Inspired Word of God”. It is a revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
[2Peter 1:21]

We believe the Triune Godhead is comprised of three separate distinct personalities:
• God the Father, the First person of the Trinity. He the Invisible, I AM that I AM
• God the Son, the Second Person of the Trinity. He is God manifested in the flesh, co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father.
• God the Holy Spirit, the Third Personality of the Trinity, He is a personality and not a thing, He lives in every believer, He is the Spirit of God, the One who reveals Christ to us and He is our Helper and Advocate

Man was created in the image of God, he was a perfect creation of God, made to rule as the god of the universe, for God said, “Let us make man in Our image, after Our likeness…” Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea…” But, man, by voluntary transgression, fell and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God.

Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross Jesus Christ overcame sin and sickness, providing salvation, dominion over sin and divine healing for all mankind. Salvation is a gift, it cannot be acquired on the basis of merit, it must be received as a gift. To receive the gift, the sinner must acknowledge his sins, acknowledge the virgin birth, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, and he must ask Jesus to forgive his sins and accept Him as his Lord and personal savior.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” [Romans 10:9-10]
Salvation is not a feeling, it must be believed by faith.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.” [Ephesians 2:8-9]

• THE EVIDENCE OF SALVATION: The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit. The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness.
• FAITH AND WORKS. Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and not by our actions or works; however, our works will determine the rewards in eternity.

We believe in the ordinance of water baptism which symbolizes the believer’s death, burial and resurrection with Christ. In so doing, the believer declares to the world that he has died with Jesus and that he has also been raised with Him to walk in the newness of life. We believe that baptism should be done by complete immersion of the believer in water as it was recorded in the scriptures.
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.” [Romans 6:3-5]

We believe in the ordinance of the Holy Communion. We are commanded to partake in the bread which symbolizes the Body of Jesus that was broken for us and the wine, which symbolizes His Blood that was shed for us at His crucifixion.
“And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.” [1Corinthians 11:24-26]

We believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. The full consummation of the Baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues followed by the subsequent manifestation of spiritual power for the edification of the believer and the body of Christ as he acquaints himself with the Person of the Holy Spirit.
“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” [Acts 2:1-4]

Jesus Christ is the Head of the church and the church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Holy Spirit. The church is entrusted with the divine mandate to fulfill the great commission, which is to preach the gospel of salvation through Jesus to the whole world. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the church.
[1Corinthians 12]

We believe that marriage is an institution ordained by God for companionship and procreation. God performed the first marriage ceremony in the Garden of Eden and according to scriptures; we believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman. Anything outside the prescribed ordinance of God for marriage is sin.
“And the LORD God said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.”
[Genesis 2:18-25]

We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ will return the second time, with His Saints from Heaven to rule and reign for one thousand years on earth as the Scriptures promised. After this, there shall be a new heaven and a new earth.
“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” [Revelation 20:6]

We believe that Jesus is coming again. At the sound of the trumpet, He will descend from the sky with His angel, the dead in Christ will be raised from the dead and be caught up with Him in the sky, the living saints will be transfigured and will be raptured with Him while the unbelievers will be left behind to be tormented by the antichrist.
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” [1Thessalonians 4:16-17]

Those who had not accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ before rapture will suffer eternal separation from the Godhead. The devil and his angels, the beast, the false Prophet, and anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life, shall be condemned to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire that burns with brimstone; that is the second death.
“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” [Revelation 20:10-15]
